Ruins of Wingfield Manor House and Manor Farm, South Wingfield, Derbyshire, 2014. Wingfield Manor was built in c1450 for Ralph de Cromwell, 3rd Baron Cromwell. Mary, Queen of Scots was imprisoned at Wingfield in 1569. The house was abandoned in the 18th century but a working farm forms part of the old manor.
