St Peter's Church, Glebe Street, Stoke-upon-Trent, 1965-1968. View of the church seen through the re-erected stone arches of the former church. St Peter's, also known as Stoke Minster, is the historic and civic church for the City of Stoke-on-Trent. By the 1820s the existing medieval church had become too small for the growing congregation and in 1830 the new Church of St Peter ad Vincula was consecrated. In the late 19th century some of the stones from the former church were reconstructed to represent the south arcade of the nave.
