Portrait, also titled 'Dragonfly', of Vera Ilyinichna Repina, the painter's daughter, at his dacha in the village of Martyshkino near St.Petersburg. As Repin put it in one of his letters to P.M.Tretyakov, "The girl in the sun should be called 'Dragonfly' because of the colour, the movement and her pose which is entirely in agreement with the name".
