'Just Like Bobs', (1901). British commander Frederick Sleigh Roberts (1832-1914) fought the Boers in South Africa, 1899-1900. Here 'Bobs', as he was nicknamed, gives water to a wounded soldier, in a slightly hagiographical depiction. From "The Life and Deeds of Earl Roberts, Vol. IV. - To Lord Roberts's Reign in Pall Mall", by J. Maclaren Cobban. [T. C. & E. C. Jack, Edinburgh, 1901]
