'Swenos Stone - Forres', late 19th-early 20th century. Ancient standing stone at Forres, Moray, Scotland. Known as Sueno's Stone, this 23 foot high carved monument is thought to have been erected sometime between c800 and 1000 AD, possibly to commemorate victory in a battle over the Picts by Kenneth McAlpin, the first King of the Scots.
