'The Victory of Kandahar (Cavalry Pursuit to the Arghandab River)', (1901). The Battle of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan was fought on 1 September 1880 between the British under General Frederick Sleigh Roberts and Afghan forces led by Ayub Khan.
