Mysterious affair in Béziers, 1930. 'La Mystérieuse Affaire De Béziers'. Dr Laget, accused of attempting to poison his sister, is brought face-to-face with her. Pierre Laget, a dentist in Béziers in southern France, was accused of poisoning both his first and second wives with arsenic, and of attempting to poison his sister Marie-Louise. He was found guilty and condemned to death, but was pardoned by the president, Paul Doumer, and exiled to Cayenne. He committed suicide in 1944, by swallowing poison.
