Sigismund is rescued after the battle of Nicopolis, 1396, (1936). 'Rettung Des Späteren Kaisers Sigismund In Der Schacht Von Nikopolis Durch Den Burggrafen Johann Von Nürnberg, 1396'. Count Hermann of Cilje (1365-1435) saved the life of Sigismund, Holy Roman Emperor after the battle against the Ottoman Turks in the Bulgarian town of Nicopolis in 1396.
