'Storming of Constantinople by Baldwin, Count of Flanders', (1204), 1890. Following the Sack of Constantinople in April 1204, during the Fourth Crusade, Crusader armies captured, looted, and destroyed the Byzantine city and Baldwin of Flanders was crowned Emperor Baldwin I of Constantinople.
