'Queen Victoria's Interest in the Search for Franklin: Her Majesty visiting the Arctic Ship 'Resolute', December 16, 1856', (1901). Victoria and her husband Prince Albert on board HMS 'Resolute' which had been recovered after being trapped in polar ice in 1854 during an Arctic expedition. She had been looking for traces of John Franklin's ill-fated Northwest Passage expedition of 1845.
