'The Passage of the Home Rule Bill from the Commons to the Lords, September 2, 1893', (1901). The Second Home Rule Bill (Government of Ireland Bill 1893) was the second attempt made by British prime minister William Ewart Gladstone to enact a system of home rule for Ireland. The bill was passed by the House of Commons, only to be vetoed by the House of Lords.
