Samarai island is a former administrative capital in Milne Bay Province, in what is now Papua New Guinea. One of a set of stereocard views by George Rose, boxed as "Studies through the Stereoscope", to be viewed on a Sun Sculpture stereoscope made by Underwood & Underwood.
