'The Buffalo Falls', 1901. Ladies Bath Falls, Mount Buffalo National Park, Victoria, was a popular secluded ridge and stopping place for ladies in the late 19th century as they travelled up Mount Buffalo, named by Hume and Hovell in 1824 because of its supposed resemblance to a reclining buffalo. From "Federated Australia". [The Werner Company, London, 1901]
