British suffrage campaigners Christabel Pankhurst (1880-1958) and Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence (1867-1954) at a rally on 'Women's Sunday'. Suffragettes protested through direct action and civil disobedience, achieving partial suffrage in 1918. It was not until 1928 that all women finally gainied the right to vote.
