'The Welcome to the Victims of Masculine Tyranny' 1908, (1933). A group of British suffragettes, recently released from prison, with a 'Welcome' banner. Campaigners for votes for women protested through direct action and civil disobedience, and were punished with imprisonment and force-feeding.
