'Jouvenet', (1644-1717), 1830. Jean-Baptiste Jouvenet (1644-1717) French painter, especially of religious subjects. Employed by Le Brun in the Salon de Mars (1671-74) at Versailles, he also worked under Charles de La Fosse.
