'Lord Lake', (1744-1808), 1830. Gerard Lake (1744-1808) British general who served during the French Revolutionary Wars and commanded British forces during the Irish Rebellion of 1798, he later served as Commander-in-Chief of the military in British India and served in the House of Commons with a vote on the Act of Union.
