Covered Sugar Bowl (Sucrier couvert), 1745- 1748. This covered bowl is one of the earliest surviving examples of Vincennes porcelain. Its decorations, particularly the lacey borders, show the influence of Meissen porcelain, but already, an individual note is struck in the extreme delicacy and colouristic restraint of the painting of the landscape scenes.
