The Battle of Lodi, 10 May 1796, (1921). 'L'infanterie de la division Dallemagne franchit le pont sur l'Adda, pendant que la cavalerie passe la rivière a gué, un peu en amont.' French forces under Napoleon Bonaparte fought the Austrians led by Karl Philipp Sebottendorf at Lodi, Lombardy, northern Italy. Napoleon (1769-1821) is seen on a pale horse, giving orders.
