Baptism of Napoleon II, Notre Dame, Paris, 10 June 1811, (1921). 'Baptême du roi de Rome à Notre-Dame de Paris'. Napoleon (1811-1832), infant 'King of Rome' and heir of Emperor Napoleon I, was baptised in the cathedral of Notre Dame. In a break with tradition, his father held him aloft for the public to see.
