'Kelso Abbey', c1870. Ruined Scottish abbey in Kelso, Scotland founded by Tironensian monks in the 12th century under reign of Alexander I. The abbey was targeted by Henry VIII in the 16th century during the Rough Wooing, fell into disrepair and was declared officially derelict in 1587.
