'Neidpath Castle', c1870. Tower house on the River Tweed in the Borders of Scotland, most likely built between 1263 and 1266, the castle is said to be haunted by the ghost of Jean Douglas who was forbidden from marrying the son of the laird of Tushielaw and died of a broken heart.
