Frederick Walter Kitchener (1858- 1912) British soldier and colonial administrator, brother of Lord Kitchener Commander-in-Chief of the troops in South Africa, was appointed to the staff of Sir Redvers Buller and took part in attempts to relieve Ladysmith during the Second Boer War.
