'James Earl of Douglas Wins Sir Henry Percy's Pennon During the Fight Before Newcastle, 1388', c1456, (1946). The Battle of Otterburn took place in Northumberland in August 1388. During the fighting, the pennon of Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland - Percy is here spelled 'Persy' - was captured by James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Douglas.
