'Golfers at Blackheath', 1790, (1947). A gentleman golfer and his caddy at Blackheath, now a part of south-east London. The golfer wears buckled shoes, silk stockings, breeches, a frock coat with epaulettes and a wide-brimmed hat. His caddy wears the less fashionable tricorne. From "British Clubs", by Bernard Darwin.
