Royal Navy warship fires cannon in greeting as Queen Victoria's yacht passes the Nore, a sandbank at the mouth of the Thames Estuary: 'The royal yacht, after leaving the Nore, altered her course, and bore upon the north-east, proceeding through the channel between the Long-sand and the coast.
