The British Force off Tahiti - Her Majesty's Ketch, Basilisk, 1844. Royal navy ship: '...200 tons, commanded by Lieutenant Hunt, on board which vessel Queen Pomare took refuge, on her being apprised that it was intended to seize her and place her eldest son (a boy about seven years old) on a nominal throne, governed by a French Regency.
