Bayen Thurm, Cologne, 1845. Boats on the River Rhine at Cologne in Germany, with the Bayenturm in the background. '...the picturesque river scenery of the suburbs, and its industrial population; for they attend to matters of more import than dancing and beer-drinking at the guinguettes.
