Departure of the Grand Duke Constantine of Russia, from Plymouth - drawn by Mr. N. M. Condy, 1845. Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich of Russia leaves after a royal visit to England. '...his Imperial Majesty's Ingermanland, 74 guns, with the flag of Admiral Lutke, having the Grand Duke Constantine on board, got under way, followed by the Vaarrchafsky, a fine corvette of 30 guns. Our Engraving, from a sketch by Mr. N. M. Corndy, represents the Ingermanland passing the Queen, Sir John West's flag-ship, Albion, Vanguard, Rodney, Canopus, Superb, President, 50, Admiral Dacres, and Daring; all of which ships fired a Royal salute, and manned yards. It was one of the finest sights we ever remember having witnessed'. From "Illustrated London News", 1845, Vol VII.
