The Queen and Prince Albert fording the Garry, 1844. Queen Victorian and the Prince Consort '....forded the river Garry...attended by a Highland guide. The Queen was dressed in black, with a shepherd's plaid shawl, and looked remarkably well on the little white pony; Prince Albert wore a shooting-jacket, trowsers of shepherd's plaid, white hat and crape band'.
