In 1956 Althea Gibson (1927-2003) became the first African-American to win a Grand Slam title (the French Championships). The following year she won both Wimbledon and the US Nationals. Gray patch in the shape of a shield. Across the upper right to the lower left quadrant are three (3) narrow diagonal lines in pink. In the upper left corner is a pair of crossed tennis rackets with two (2) tennis balls. In the lower right corner is the logo of the International Lawn Tennis Club.
