A Victorian Era oval marble-top table made of walnut with a 7/8" thick detachable top resting on an oval-shaped wood frame. The legs are s-formed with a decorative spindle connecting the legs at the bottom portion of the central post. Robert Smalls (1839-1915) was an African-American politician, publisher, businessman, maritime pilot and former slave.
