Wood and iron school desk with a foldable seat. The curved seat is made of four (4) close-fitting slats, and the seat back has five (5) slats. Grooves cut into the sides of each slat allow them to link together like puzzle pieces. The desk is attached at the back, behind the seat back. The top is constructed of four (4) close-fitting slats. There is a long, oval groove carved into the front slab for holding writing utensils. The sides of the desk are cast iron in a simple design. Each side is marked [ECLIPSE] at the top and has the number [5] in a shield at the middle. At the front, just under the seat is [5 & 6 LB] on the left ironwork and [5 & 6 RB] on the right ironwork. All markings on ironwork are raised. The desk rests on four (4) feet.
