The Black Power movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s, emphasised racial pride and the need to promote the collective interests and values of Black Americans. CORE stands for the Congress of Racial Equality, an African-American civil rights organisation. A black pin back button with white text centered in the middle. The text reads: [BLACK POWER / CORE]. On the reverse is a small, white, round sticker with the number [173] and a pin without a fastener.
