Folding tab, metal button with the names of John F. Kennedy and running mate Lyndon B. Johnson of the Democratic Party. Kennedy was sworn in as the 35th president of the United States in January 1961. Johnson was Vice President. The button has red, white, and blue horizontal bands. The central white band has blue text that reads, [KENNEDY / and / JOHNSON]. Two (2), white five pointed stars are printed in the red and blue bands above and below the candidates’ names. The folding portion of the button is white and has the manufacturer’s information, union information and logos printed in blue. There are three union labels and the name of the manufacturer printed on the folding tab of the button. The back of the button is silver toned.
