Wooden conductor's baton used by Cab Calloway, (1907-1994), an African-American jazz singer, dancer, bandleader and actor. The black painted handle is larger than the white painted tapered shaft. Remnants of black paint on the tip of the shaft indicate it may have been painted black at one time.
