The Warwick Vase, 1778-80. Ancient Roman marble excavated in Italy by Gavin Hamilton, and later owned by Lord Hamilton. It was pieced together over a long period of time from a large number of fragments. From Vasi, candelabri, cippi, sarcofagi, tripodi, lucerne, ed ornamenti antichi disegnati ed incisi dal Cav. Gio.
