A view of the Barbican development from a London Wall office block to the south-east of the site, showing the site's three tower blocks and their surroundings. Phase V of the Barbican site, essentially the area between Shakespeare Tower (centre) and Cromwell Tower (right), was under construction when this photo was taken. Laing were responsible for the Phase V contract, which included the Barbican Arts Centre, Frobisher Crescent and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
