The interior of a large corrugated steel fabrication shop at the Bottesford pre-yield depot, showing workers cutting and welding pipework. In 1969, Laing Pipelines established their pre-yield depot at Bottesford Airfield near Grantham. Large diameter steel pipes for gas feeder mains could be tested at the depot to yield under hydraulic pressure.
