The site rescue team using a dummy victim and scaffolding to demonstrate the rescue of a worker overcome by fumes at a great height, during 'safety week' at the Isle of Grain Power Station. A safety week was held at the Isle of Grain Power Station in the week commencing Monday 12th May 1975. The event was jointly organised by the five main contractors on the site and the Central Electricity Generating Board. The week included the presentation of safety films, exhibition stands and safety demonstrations. At set times each day, the site rescue team also demonstrated the rescue of a trapped person overcome by fumes. Scaffolding was used to simulate the building, a model represented the victim, and smoke was issued from a tarpaulin hut beneath.
