A man operating a forklift to move a crate of metal containers in the cold store of the Wall's Ice Cream Factory. Work began in February 1959 on a new factory for T. Walls and Sons Limited on a 30 acre site at Barnwood. The £2 million project comprised buildings including the production block, workshops, offices, a canteen, boiler house, cold store, water tower, and engineers' shop.
