West Mill, Cage Lane, Smarden, Ashford, Kent, 1932. A view of West Mill (also known as Cornes Mill or Town Mill), showing the post mill intact but disused. West Mill in Smarden was an old post mill worked by the Cornes family. It ceased working in 1912 and is believed to have collapsed in 1953.
