Martin Windmill, East Langdon, Langdon, Dover, Kent, 1929. A view of Martin Windmill, showing the smock mill intact but with cropped sails. This smock mill dates from the middle of the 18th century. By the time of the photograph its sails had been cut short for safety reasons and by the early 1930s the base of the mill was in use as a dwelling.
