St Anne's School, Alcester Street, Deritend, Digbeth, Birmingham, 1941. An old man seated outside St Anne's School, Alcester Street. The headmaster's log records that the adjacent Saint Anne's Church reopened on 31st August 1941 upon completion of repairs due to bomb damage. This view shows the school with windows boarded, probably as a result of air raids. The building was demolished after the war and a new school was built in Lowe Street. St Anne's Parish Centre now occupies the site.
