The Chepstow Rail Bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and was completed in 1852. It was also known as the 'Great Tubular Bridge'. The bridge was superseded by a new bridge constructed in 1962, though the tubular iron supports of the original bridge remain.
