View of the Lunar Module from the Command Module, Apollo 11 mission, July 20, 1969. The Lunar Module (LM), code named Eagle, begins its descent to the lunar surface. Eagle, with US astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on board, landed in the Sea of Tranquillity. Apollo 11 was the fifth manned Apollo mission, and was the first to land on the Moon.
