Odeon Cinema, Northgate Street, Chester, Cheshire West and Chester, 1987-2000. The Odeon Cinema at dusk, showing the illuminated porch, billboards and neon sign, viewed from the south-east. The Odeon Cinema in Chester was designed by Harry Weedon and Robert Bullivant, and opened in 1936. The building's design differed from typical Odeon cinemas: the Royal Fine Art Commission ruled that a tiled facia should not be used, so plain brick was used on the exterior.
