'The Memorable Naval Engagement on the 1st of June 1794, when the British Channel Fleet under the command of Lord Howe took and destroy'd after one of the severest actions in the Annals of History Eight French Ships of the Line / Explanation No 1 Lord Howe giving command / No 2 the French Admirals Ship / No 3 The French Vessel Le Vengeur which sunk during the action / the crew refused to surrender'. In the corners, portraits of Sir Roger Curtis, Admiral Pasley, Admiral Howe, Admiral Bowyer. Engraved by Slack after William Hanson.
