Minories Car Park, 1 Shorter Street, City of London, 23/05/1969. A workman hammering chunks out of the fluted concrete surface of the curtain wall at Minories Car Park. The architect for the City of London, EG Chandler, who designed the building was inspired by the surface treatment of the walls of the Elephant House at London Zoo. The curtain wall at street level along Shorter Street was a major architectural element of the building.
