New Gallery, Regent Street, City of Westminster, London, 1970-1999. The dome in the ceiling in the auditorium of the New Gallery. The New Gallery was built as an art gallery in the late 19th century. The building was converted into a restaurant in 1910 and subsequently a cinema in 1913, to the plans of William Woodward & Sons. The cinema was altered in 1925 to the plans of Nicholas & Dixon-Spain. The New Gallery Cinema operated until 1953. The building was used as a church until the 1990s. It was later used for retail.
